We had the good fortune of connecting with Trey and Michelle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trey and Michelle, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Our thought process was that we felt like there are a lot of different voices in the podcast space, but the ones that seem the most popular and trending are generally people who don’t have any true background knowledge or formal education on the subject matters they’re talking about. So we just wanted to bring an actual professional and educational background to popular topics and then to specific topics that we feel like we struggle with as adults.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Michelle is a family Nurse Practitioner. And Trey is a licensed social worker and case manager. We both have spent years in school obtaining our masters degrees. Our educational working and professional background sets us apart in the society and culture podcast space because we have the formal knowledge to address a lot of the more trending topics, especially when it comes to mental health and personal development. It definitely wasn’t easy for either of us to reach our goals. Trey is a mother of four children and Michelle has supported herself through a majority of her schooling. We definitely dive into whether we feel like it was worth it or not in our podcast episodes. We think that a majority of millennials grapple with if the time and effort they spent doing the things they were told to do were worth it. We want people to resonate with us, and relate to us and learn from us. We believe our podcast is here to help people expand or change their way of thinking. We want to be those people who help you create a new framework. I hope you think differently especially if you’re current circle is the same as you, in order to grow and change you have to hear a different point of view and different ways of interpreting your past and current circumstances in order to grow to the next stage of life and so we believe that we do that in a very relatable and educated way.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Wow, a week is a long time lol. But we will take them to all of the trendy spots around town so that includes victory Park, Bishop arts, lower Greenville Addison. The design District, uptown, downtown, and the AT&T district area. Can’t forget to go up north towards the new Dallas Cowboys training area and even up to Frisco. Definitely gonna take them to try some barbecue definitely going to take them to try some food and go to the farmers market.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
