We had the good fortune of connecting with Todd Stark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Todd, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Some part of me always knew I would own a business one day. Growing up my father owned and operated a successful plumbing company along with Both grandfathers owning business.

Growing up doing manual labor, learning how things are built and go together to make a finished product sparked an interest in me for mechanical engineering.

After attending college I had a few jobs operating all kinds of cnc machines and robotics which eventually led me into a an engineering and programming position at my last job. This made me the first person in my family to have a “desk job” But something about it didn’t feel “right”.

I started designing more and more in my free time which eventually lead to buying a cnc plasma table to help bring my digital creations to life. Then Started taking jobs at night while working full time.

In 2018 I was laid off 2 weeks before my wife gave birth to our first baby. That’s initially when I made the jump to full time working for myself. It’s been hard, stressful, overwhelming but it is all worth it, Because it came with something more fulfilling than just punching the clock and collecting a check. The satisfaction in creating custom metal work for people, letting my creative side run the show seeing the product start from a thought to finish product and the joy it brings to peoples faces. That’s when I knew I made the right choice and I’m doing exactly what I need to be doing.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Being very detail oriented I believe sets me apart from others. I’m very picky with how my final products are and how they last the test of time.

The future excites me, seeing how far I’ve grown since I started, the customers and connections made helps my vision of the future grow. Automotive metal fabrication has been my main focus for the past few years and it’s been very exciting growing the business to what I’m also passionate about.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Rockwall and the surrounding areas have just about anything you can think of, some of the most common places I take people to eat are Boots Burger in downtown rockwall and Smoak Town BBQ in fate.

Redline raceway is right down the freeway in caddo mills, TX fun for all ages to watch or if you want to make a pass down the track.

Old school hot rod spot would be Kellers hamburgers off northwest highway in Dallas. Friday or Saturday night. Good ol #5 😎

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My wonderful wife Shelby, The roller coaster ride the past 5 years have been has been hard. She’s been the rock keeping me motivated to do more.
