We had the good fortune of connecting with Tianisha Yates-Lott and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tianisha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
November 14, 2019 I lost a very important piece of my life, my grandmother LUCY LOUISE YATES. She was a person who never met a stranger and loved and helped everyone she came in contact with. As a little girl growing up I would see her work hard every day to provide for her children, grandchildren, and people she loved. After I grew up and started having children of my own I found myself walking in her footsteps. She would always encourage me to work hard and be the best mother I could.
My youngest daughter became very ill and in October I was forced to stay home. She was experiencing major hair loss, bad skin problems along with other health issues that caused her to lose 30 pounds and go through a depression. I would cry almost everyday without her knowing because I didn’t want to see her suffer especially since she was only 14 years old and other children her age could be very cruel.
As a mother I knew I had to find a way to help her. My goal was to find something natural because I was already into herbs and essential oils. Since I was home with nothing to do, I started doing major research. I would get up every morning about 5am and stay up all day doing research. After a few days of the same routine I found myself stumbling up on some great information. It seemed to come out of nowhere.
I instantly started ordering different herbs, oils, and butters. After a few weeks of getting everything I ordered, I started going into the lab mixing up different blends. I came up with a product and started using it on my daughter’s hair. After two weeks of using the product we saw MAJOR progress. She also noticed her skin started to clear up in areas she would put the product on. I decided to get back in the lab to make a body oil for her. We instantly started seeing a change within a few days. She was so amazed with her skin and hair growth she figured it would be good enough to sell to help others the way it was helping her.
In order to honor my grandmother’s life and legacy I decided to name our business “LUCY LOU’S MIRACLE DROPS”.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Do you have major hair loss? Or want to grow in your EDGES, Hairline or Bald spots? Maybe you just want your hair to be THICKER or FULLER. If so, you need to try our products.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I enjoy Hawaii and try to go very often because I love the beach and the beautiful sky. I can see myself on the beach drinking a pineapple drink enjoying the breeze looking at the waves hanging out and enjoying family and friends.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Tyresha Wright and Tressa Franklin for encouraging and pushing me to continue to work hard and help others.
