We had the good fortune of connecting with Tess + Amber and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tess + Amber, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Here at 2Girls1Brush Beauty, the foundation of our business is FUN! We pride ourselves on building true relationships with our clients and making our clients laugh. If you leave your appointment with sore cheeks, we did our job! We truly believe this sets us apart and people often book with us for this element. We have a TikTok that is full of before and after looks, jokes and humor- we just love to have a good time!

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
While we love to create soft glam and boho looks, we are comfortable with helping every client create a look they love for whatever occasion they may have. While we each have our own style, we complement one another so well and we can be truly honest no matter what!

While building a business is challenging, we feel like we have been blessed with new opportunities on a frequent basis and we choose to take the bull by the horns- if we don’t go for it now, when will we? It was challenging to be a new team on the scene but we feel that we have curated a team of artists who align with our values, esthetic and drive. We value each one of them SO much and they help us to make 2G1BB what it is today.

We have learned so much about being business owners and learn lessons all the time. We are constantly learning by trial and error and are grateful for these lessons because they offer us room to grow.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Fort Worth is truly where it’s at! We love some good Mexican food, a fresh margarita and a patio! A little stop by our studio in Alliance Town Center for some beautification and maybe shopping would be on the agenda. We often fly by the seat of our pants so whatever is fun that day could be a possibility. DFW offers so many options!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We couldn’t have gotten here without each other! We met by chance at a wedding almost 4 years ago and the rest is history. We truly have fun working together, push one another to create new ideas, balance one another and have the same visions for our future as a team!
