We had the good fortune of connecting with Terri Cotton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Terri, what do you want people to remember about you?
I strive for my living legacy to be embodied as a Servant Leader. Being an avenue of support is very important to me; and supporting in abundance with humbleness is even more my heart’s desire. In instances when I am unable to provide what is required, I try to create connections so that someone’s need is always met. I want to be remembered as GENUINELY being there for people. Through marketplace business, friendships, church, family, neighborhood, charity or global relationships, my hope is that TLC is not only recognized as my initials.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
TLC ECS provides remote Operation Administration, Back Office Support, Project Management and Strategies to entrepreneurs, C-Suite Executives and Small Business Owners who are overwhelmed with tasks and/or are not able to acquire a team to meet the demands of their success. While the office team does not generate revenue, it is critical to running a successful business and serves as a preventative measure to refrain from million dollar losses due to inefficiencies.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
A Staycation in my city of Frisco and hometown of Dallas would include service at One Community Church (my church), tailgate/watch party of a Dallas Cowboys game at The Star, a “made from scratch” soul food dinner at my home cooked by yours truly, a day on Lake Lewisville, a live musical experience with Soulful Soundz Band and the incomparable Brianne Sargent (artist, musician & singer), a dining experience with ChefNic & Co, enjoyment at the Perot Museum and no set itinerary because we will go with the flow.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My grandson has been an encouragement and motivation since his early years of life. My children, Terilynn, Thomas & Taylor, allowed me to grow into motherhood and womanhood through every success, failure, laughable moment and hurtful event. The times are shifting and they are the ones that influence me these days. Also, a couple of sister friends who pour love, support, encouragement and laughs into me along with offering prayer, correction and accountability whether I ask for it or not. My suggested life changing reads are “The People Factor” (Van Moody) and “Inside Out” (Larry Crabb).
