We had the good fortune of connecting with Tenia Pero and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tenia, why did you pursue a creative career?
I’m a day dreamer. I constantly think of other worlds, other planets, different life forms and other realms. Being a Filmaker and writer is the absolute perfect way to express what’s in my head. My friends and family more than likely think I’m crazy because I’m constantly watching shows or reading Literature to feed my brain with wisdom about our universe and our history. Our real history not the stuff they teach us in text books.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Pero Production Studio’s is still in the beginning stages of development yet I can’t be more excited and proud of what is to come. This is something that has been years in the making with many obstacles and challenges during the process. If you can remember that nothing is easy that’s worth having you can climb mountains. I’ve overcome so much and learned some tough lessons. One thing to remember while your climbing that mountain is to keep people around you that can uplift you and challenge you to be the very best version of yourself. My company will bring more filmmaking jobs to Texas and help put Texas on the map! We will continue to help others in our community. One of my future goals is to help in the construction for another campus church that I attend. We currently have 36 locations and I am devoted to help bring others to Christ! Pero Production Studio’s is all about family and self development. If you can dream it, you can achieve it! Don’t give up because it gets hard. That’s when your breakthrough happens. Keep pushing!!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If you and your girls want to celebrate something or you want to treat your special person to a fancy meal. The Monarch Restaurant in the Thompson hotel in Dallas has the best views and get this, they give you a glass of champagne on the way up the elevator. The food is absolutely wonderful. Another favorite of mine is Leelas wine bar in Dallas. From cocktails to fine wine and great food you can’t go wrong here! Grab your gang and head there for and awesome experience. Klyde Warren park is another favorite of mine. Grab a blanket, a book and some comfy shoes. There’s food trucks and some great ice cream to choose from. This is a perfect day hangout!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There’s so many people I can think of to give credit to my story. One individual that sticks out a little more than most is Fred Thompson. He is always pushing through with his projects. He helps everyone he possibly can and gives his time effortlessly. He is constantly giving me words of encouragement and pushes me to keep going. We all need a mentor and friend like him around!
