We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Simon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Taylor, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
One of the most important factors behind the success of my brand is that the growth of your business is dependent upon the way you see yourself. Your life is a mirror. And what you see externally, whether in life or in business is a reflection of what’s going on internally. It’s important to show up confidently and position the value of your business from that place of confidence. Your level of belief and the success of your business goes hand in hand.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Based in Fort Worth, TX, my company, Taylor Made Creative Agency is a full-service creative agency that specializes in transforming bold visions into captivating, high-profiting brands through the power of styled-to-fit branding and unforgettable strategic marketing. Our clients are statement-making visionary leaders, creative trailblazers, and bold business owners who want to make an impact with their businesses. We believe that great branding and marketing should be exhilarating, and we strive to create work that inspires our clients and their customers. From logo design and website development to social media marketing and video production, we have the skills and experience necessary to help brands and businesses make a statement with style, strategy, and breakthrough solutions. Never in a million years would I have ever thought that I would be doing what I am doing today. Before I started my business I was on a one-way track to Hollywood heavily pursuing a childhood dream of being a superstar. Since the age of 2, I’ve mastered my gift of performance and dominated any stage that I was on. Through years of reinvention and self-discovery, I learned that I was made for more than the stage. I learned that I have this unique ability to help others to scale their wildest dreams and maximize their performance with unshakable confidence. Being in the entertainment industry for years has given me a wealth of techniques, tools, tips, and strategies to help leaders, entrepreneurs, creators, and influencers captivate the crowd and turn their audience into believers and cheerleaders. I am wildly passionate about inspiring and equipping others to step into the spotlight and showcase their superpower with confidence. Although I can say this with confidence now, it hasn’t always been this way. On the stage, I got to play dress-up and be unstoppable, but behind the curtains, I dealt with low self-esteem, depression, and anxiety. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve sabotaged opportunities, lost high-paying clients, and wounded relationships due to these challenges. Despite my failures along my entrepreneurial journey, I’ve learned that with scars come stories, and with every mistake, there is always a message to share. There is so much gold in our journey to success. Without the pitfalls and seasons of pause, I wouldn’t be the woman that I am today. Someone who’s hosted several sold-out events, worked with 5 figure clients and made 5-figure months, had the joy of working with celebrity clients, built a team, wrote a best-selling book, spoke on some powerful stages, and became a wife and mom of miracle twins. And guess what? I’m just getting started.
As an entrepreneur, author, and speaker, I want people to know that it’s possible to have unwavering confidence, steadfast commitment to their goals, and be a warrior in their industry. Through my story, I want people to understand the value of YOU so that they can have a bold, vibrant, courageous life and business without sacrificing the things that matter most. I want them to know that reinventing yourself and redesigning your life could be their next step to breakthrough and overflow. When they enter the room, I want them to show up and shine.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A full week in the city with me must consist of all things self-care, good food (and some late-night sweets), and having fun! I love the Milk + Honey Spa in Clearfork, not because it’s the best spa in the world, but because I get the best SLEEP in the world lol. I feel like if you’ve found a spa and you get a massage that takes you into a deep sleep that has you waking up trying to remember where you are, YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE. And this spa is where we would enjoy some time relaxing, resting, lounging, and chatting our worries away in our robes until we forget what time it is. So I have a pretty impressive “restaurants to visit” list, but I won’t put the entire list because we’ll be here all day lol. A few brunch or lunch spots we’ll probably visit would be Greekislesdallas, Ellie’s Restaurant & Lounge, Paradiso, Maria’s Mexican Kitchen, Jane, or Kiss Dallas. For dinner, we would go to Happy Lamb Hot Pot, Kintaro Ramen (because I love some good ramen), Roots Southern Table, Casablanca, The Mexican Dallas, Delucca Gaucho Pizza & Wine, XOXO Dining Room, Tulum Dallas, and the list could go on. If we have a sweet tooth, I would love to try this over-the-top candy pickle spot called Delicious Candy Pickles Factory, Wow Donuts and Drips, Insomnia Cookies (we could go here late at night), The Pina Loca Fruteria for some authentic Mexican munchies, The Sugar Factory, or Crumble cookies just to name a few. Evo Cinemas is an all-in-one spot for movies, games, bowling, and food! They have specials throughout the week for movies and games. Voicebox Karaoke in Fort Worth is also a fun place to eat good food and reserve a private area to sing and screech your lungs out on the dance floor. There is so much to do in the DFW, this isn’t even half of it!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’m grateful to God for drawing me into the unknown, challenging me to dream bigger, and loving me in spite of my flaws. If I could stand on the tallest mountain, I would shout out loud with such gratitude to God so that the world can hear the echo of His opulent overflowing goodness. To the prince of my heart and the man of my dreams, my husband. I don’t know where I would be without his sacrificial support, passionate push, and unbelievably sincere belief in me even when I don’t believe in myself. He is the best sounding board for all of my thousand ideas and crazy-wild dreams! I am spoiled by him. To my tribe, family, and friends, I am so blessed to have a place to rest and simply just be with you. Each of you reminds me to choose joy, be silly, and be present.
