We had the good fortune of connecting with Tara and Rocky Padilla and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tara and Rocky, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
A dream is merely just a dream without taking action, and sometimes that action involves risk. There is never a right time for risk taking, one must plan and execute, take the risk, and do the work in order to get to where they want to go. Without risk, taking that leap, and putting in the work, one may never know their full potential. We too were once scared of taking risks, entrepreneurship is scary and unpredictable, but can also be exciting if you put in the work! We are so glad we got outside of our own heads and decided to take risks, as we continue to grow year over year not just business wise, but mentally as well. Had we not taken that first risk and ventured out to become business owners, we might be stuck still dreaming of our full potential, rather than living to reach just that! What should our readers know about your business?
Texan Window Cleaning is a local family- owned business that takes pride in the quality of their work and not only offers professional window cleaning, but pressure washing, soft washing, roof washing, and gutter cleaning as well. We are fully insured, guarantee our work, and most importantly, take the initiative to protect your property and it’s contents while we are completing the job. The most fulfilling thing to Texan Window Cleaning and their team is to see each customer’s face light up when every job is complete as they admire the work that has been done. We got to where we are today by pure hard work and dedication. We have learned nothing will ever be handed to you, you have to do the work and continue to invest in yourself and your knowledge. We have overcome many challenges in the years we have been in business, and each challenge has taught us something new. We don’t look at them as challenges any longer, but as growing pains. There will be obstacles along the way, no matter what your business or circumstances are, but it is what you take out of each situation that helps you grow!Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Eat- Nick & Sam’s or Del Frisco’s, both places have AMAZING steak and atmospheres. Also, Nate’s in Addisson for a more casual time! Drink- Bar Hopping in Up town, there’s so many amazing places to visit. Some of the most fun, interesting, and exciting things to check out locally would be Klyde Warren Park, The Perot Museum, The Frisco Star, and the many hiking/adventure trails such as White Rock Lake or Katy Trail. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are definitely more than a handful of people that we can attribute our success to, as you are only as good as those you surround yourself with. Rocky’s father, James Creech, is the first person that comes to mind as without him, we would have never thought to even start our business. It was because of his weekend talks with Rocky, that Texan Window Cleaning even came about. Secondly, Mollie Hancock, who is a prominent realtor out of Plano, TX, and a long time friend that is more like family. Mollie believed in us from the beginning, gave us pep taks, advice, sent business our way, and really pushed us to become great! Lastly, all of our repeat customers who not only trust us, but have also become a part of our growing family. Not only do they continue to use us for our services, you begin to know them on a deeper level and you look forward to seeing them and hearing about their children’s accomplishments, or seeing their business thrive, and even just seeing that they have been able to stay safe and healthy in these unpredictable times. Without the encouragement, and the friendship of these people, Texan Window Cleaning would be just a dream!
