We had the good fortune of connecting with Tannis Owens and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tannis, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started Total Touch Massage because I wanted to pursue my passion to help others while having the creative freedom as a business owner. My goal is to promote self care awareness and the positive benefits of Therapeutic Massage.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
In November 2020, I took a leap of faith to start Total Touch solely as a mobile business. Within 2-weeks I was introduced to work with a local chiropractor. This collaboration allowed me to expand my business by offering both office and mobile services. In doing business and life in general, I’ve learned that when you are genuine and put positive energy out into the world, that the same treatment will be reciprocated. I am passionate about my career as a Massage Therapist. I want to continue to educate on the overall impact that Massage Therapy has on your physical, mental and emotional well-being which would lead to a healthy lifestyle.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Whenever I’m entertaining family/friends in Dallas, I highly recommend visiting the Bishop Arts District. This is where you can find social events, diverse range of food and entertainment. I especially enjoy the Bishop Street Market because it showcases small business owners in the community.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to shoutout my friend and fellow Massage Therapist Fred S. for always being supportive and reaching out whenever new opportunities arise.
