We had the good fortune of connecting with Tanae Dumas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tanae, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
From the time I was a teenager until currently today I’ve always been complemented on my brows. My friends and family would always come to me to either shape or fill in their brows, coworkers would complement me, even men would notice how great my brows were! It wasn’t until my husband advised me that my hobby could turn really turn into a business and that’s exactly what I did. I immediately enrolled into school, became licensed and the rest will be history. What better way to do something I love, be able to create my own schedule and continue to enhance the beauty of others with my talent.

What should our readers know about your business?
Arched by Nae is a brow bar dedicated to giving our clients quality and luxury services to ensure their utmost relaxation and pampering to achieve balance, beauty, and renewal. We offer Brow Sugaring and Waxing, Brow Tint and Lamination as well as customized facials. Our natural yet effective skincare and brow treatments will have you confident, knowing that there is beauty in the journey. Creating my service menu to best suit my clients and choosing the best products for them is what I am most proud of because quality brings the results we all want. There’s a saying if you build it they will come but the lesson I have learned is consistency is definitely apart of building. Stay consistent and show up for yourself and your business and success is bound to happen.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love being outside so Klyde Warren Park is my go to. I go there with friends and family on any day of the week. To let my hair down, I go to Freeman’s on Thursday’s and Friday’s. I always get a peace of mind at the Dallas Farmers Market on the weekend to get food for my home and find natural products.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to thank Christie Dionne and my other spa members for welcoming me in to SkinFit Salons. Without Christie, I would not be able to service my lovely clients and I cannot wait to see what this journey holds for all of us. I would like to thank Krystel Petite for being the reason I have this opportunity. I’ve learned so much about my other passion for sugaring from you and you are so awesome at what you do. I want to thank all fellow esthetician I have met along my journey for their support and mentorship. Most of all I want to thank my family and husband for being there every step of the way.
