We had the good fortune of connecting with Tamika & Kimlynn Archie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tamika & Kimlynn, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
In creating our business we wanted to create movies with real meaning and understanding of everyday life. We wanted to shed light on issues that some choose not to discuss and struggle with facing in their adult life.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m co-producer of a TV Series Behind Closed Doors and co-owner of NuVysion Media Group. My spouse and I wanted to tap into the entertainment industry but also have a message with our work. Learning to film wasn’t easy. I have no background in filming so it took long hours of researching to learn right lenses, sound, editing and marketing. What I have learned is patience and not giving up. There will be tons of obstacles going on your path trying to knock you down but learning from those experiences and taking that criticism to spin into a positive only makes you stronger in your path.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my friend to visit the JFK and Holocaust Museum in Dallas, TX. Then we would go to several local eateries in support of our small business restaurants. I’m more of a home body and most of friends are as well, so for them do very little because they want to rest to escape their busy life back home.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We want to recognize our wonderful cast and crew for the love, support and believing in our project. Our fans have been truly amazing throughout the process of Season 1.
