Meet Talesha Thomas | Owner/Creative Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Talesha Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Talesha, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
We launched our salad dressings business in 2018. We have always had a passion for really good and wholesome food. We just recently launched our delivery and pickup only restaurant. It is called Mae Nicole Kitchens and it pairs with our salad dressings and sauces company called Mae Nicole Dressings.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Professionally I have been doing accounting for the last 20 years a long with catering. Accounting has always been intriguing to me. I love looking at numbers and figuring how something should balance. I have learned that the numbers don’t always tell the entire story and there are multiple variables and solutions to situations. My husband is a construction project estimator. He very good at determining the value of something and the risk that goes along with owning a business. He truly believes that their is no reward without taking risks.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
1. Houndstooth Coffee(Dallas- Sylvan Ave) 2. Huddle House- Forney
3. Bishop Cider
4. Galleria Mall
5. Al Bernaits- Oak Lawn
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The support of family has been awesome during this journey.
