Meet Susi Norfolk | Nail Technician & Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Susi Norfolk and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Susi, what do you attribute your success to?
I would say the most important factor behind my success would be educating myself in the nail industry. I’ve taken numerous courses to continue to evolve in the nail industry. I became an educator for LCN USA back in 2010 and started traveling to trade shows with them and educating others about our brand. In doing this it made me to want to educate myself with other brands so that I could explain to clients what the difference was in what I had to offer. This is what made my business grow and succeed here in Dallas, by educating my clients on the importance of all the knowledge I was constantly learning.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The art of creating a natural beautiful structure nail can be very challenging and rewarding at the same time. The one thing that sets me apart from the ordinary nail technician is the quality of product I use and the perfecting, not rushing, of each individuals service. I am very proud of offering a unique experience in my room its personable, private and calm. I love that my clients always feel like part of the Perfect10 family! I got to where I am today because I am always open to learn from fellow nail technicians. The world is constantly evolving and so is our industry, keeping the integrity of the nail healthy is always my main goal. I would say the main lesson along the way is to always be confidant with your work but never arrogant, its a very fine line and it should never be crossed. I want the world to know that there are many nail technicians out there that are constantly evolving and educating themselves to give the optimal experience to the clients.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would say I have to give recognition first to all the clients who believed in me, second I would have to give recognition to LCN USA for seeing that I had it in me to represent their brand and the nail industry the way it needed to be, and last but not least a large shout out to Cj Murray from Cj’s Centre for Beauty in Largo, Florida she has been my biggest cheerleader through all these years.
