Meet SteVonna Williams

We had the good fortune of connecting with SteVonna Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi SteVonna, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
I’ve never been afraid to take a risk—it’s just always been in me. From a young age, I knew that playing it safe wasn’t going to get me where I wanted to be. One of the biggest risks I took was moving from Houston to Dallas with nothing but my children and faith in myself. I didn’t have much, but I had vision.
Entrepreneurship came naturally because I’ve always found ways to provide. I started doing taxes on the side just to make a little extra money, but I quickly realized this was my lane. I stayed consistent, stayed focused, and poured into my craft.
Over the past seven years, I’ve worked in financial services—helping people fix their credit, buy homes, cut their tax liabilities, and plan for a better financial future. I’ve always stayed true to my purpose: helping people level up financially.
Now, I’m proud to say I’m a first-year tax franchise owner of Pure Diamond Firm Dallas. Every step I’ve taken has been a risk—but every risk I took led me closer to the woman and business owner I am today.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Pure Diamond Firm Dallas is my first tax franchise, and it represents everything I’ve worked so hard to build—faith, hustle, and purpose. We specialize in tax preparation, credit education, bookkeeping, and tax planning for everyday people in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. What sets us apart is how real and personal we are with our clients. We don’t just do the job—we educate, empower, and treat every client like family.
I got here through years of experience, trial and error, and staying true to my purpose. I’ve been in the financial industry for over 7 years, helping people fix their credit, become homeowners, and keep more of what they earn through smart tax strategies. I started doing taxes just to make extra money as a single mom—but once I realized how many people needed help, I knew this was bigger than just a side hustle.
Was it easy? Absolutely not. I moved from Houston to DFW with nothing but my kids and ambition. I faced doubt, had to cut off people who didn’t align, and had to rebuild my confidence through hard seasons. But I kept showing up, even when it was uncomfortable. I made mistakes, but I learned fast.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned? Stay consistent. Stay grounded. Don’t water yourself down. The right people will find you, and your story matters.
What I want the world to know about Pure Diamond Firm Dallas is that it was built with love, purpose, and real life behind it. I’m a mom of four who turned pain into purpose—and I’m committed to helping others do the same with their money, their goals, and their lives.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting, we’d definitely have a time! I’d start by taking them to Deep Ellum—the vibe there is unmatched. I love the food, the energy, the people, and just how alive the streets feel. We’d grab a bite at one of my favorite spots las palmas the Mexican.
Since it’s basketball season, we’re for sure hitting up a Mavs game—because who doesn’t love that D-Town energy? After the game, we might hit a cute bar downtown for a drink or two and some good conversation.
I like to keep it chill but fun. A week in Dallas with me would be a mix of good food, good drinks, good laughs, and all the vibes. One thing about it—we’re gonna have a time!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my children, who are my biggest motivation and constant driving force. They keep me going even on the toughest days.
Shoutout to my loyal clients and supporters who continue to believe in me and the vision—I wouldn’t be here without y’all.
And a special thank you to Tabatha hall – po Little, the owner of Pure Diamond Firm in Houston. She trusted me with her brand and gave me the opportunity to open my very first franchise, Pure Diamond Firm Dallas. Her belief in me helped bring this dream to life in the DFW area, and for that—I’ll always be grateful.
