We had the good fortune of connecting with Steven Trevino and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Steven, what are you inspired by?
My dad is my inspiration. He has been a business owner for over 30 years and was the best example of hard work. He instilled in me the importance of work ethic, integrity and the value of family.

What should our readers know about your business?
I Scoop Poop is a weekly and bi-weekly service. Depending on where you live we would normally service your yard on a designated day for an affordable price. The price will usually increase if you have multiple dogs. We also consider the size of the yard as well. We currently have over 400 customers, 4 trucks, and 4 employees.

We have definitely had ups and down. I’d say the hardest part about running a business is finding reliable help. When you do have reliable help you have room for growth. And we want to continue to grow!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I definitely recommend White Rhino. The Sebastián Hot Coffee is phenomenal and their bagels are amazing! I’d definitely recommend playing18 holes at Tangle Ridge Golf Course in Grand Prairie, TX.

Once sun sets head out to Texas Live in Arlington, TX.  Enjoy cold beer, sports, games and ping pong!

Jake’s Burgers is a great spot for lunch! But if you are craving Mexican food I would consider a place called Guanataco in Grand Prairie, TX. Tell them the Pooper Scooper “Scooper Steve” sent you!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost I’d like to give thanks to God, without him this wouldn’t be possible. I would like to give thanks to my family, friends, neighbors and community for always backing me, supporting me and encouraging me.
