We had the good fortune of connecting with Steven Peters and Tanner Grefsheim and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We’re proud to have a show that is dedicated to the LGBTQIA+ voices. If it’s not ours, it’s someone in the community that has a story we feel is worth sharing and is relatable to someone that is tuning in. As far as how we got here: we truly just hit the ground running. Neither of us have done something like this before, and are truly learning as we go, but that’s what makes it fun for us! It’s most definitely not “easy”, but it is fun and challenging and exhausting and exciting, all at the same time. We’ve learned that in doing this, we can truly make our own rules and beat to our own drum.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If we had a friend meeting us in Dallas, we’d definitely start the day with a Barry’s workout, lunch at Velvet Taco, wandering around the city and dinner at NoBu. And of course end the night dancing at Round-Up.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We have to dedicate all of our success thus far to our listeners. We are constantly impressed by how many people listen and even stop us on the streets to say how much they enjoy the show. That’s truly what makes it all worth it!
