We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephanie, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Faith is the most important factor behind the success of Old Souls Ink. Our faith guides us in every aspect of our business, from how we lead our team, to the quality of the art produced, and to the interactions with each client.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I (alongside my husband) own and manage a tattoo & piercing studio in Weatherford, TX. We are a faith-based studio, focused on creating amazing artwork and providing the most unforgettable client experience. We are an upscale, client-centered, welcoming alternative to traditional tattoo shops. I manage day-to-day operations, social media, marketing & advertising, client relations, as well as the finances.

I’m so excited about the fact that our vision and heart for people seem to really resonate with the community. Just (6) months into business, we were voted Best of the Best of Parker County for 2022.

I have a BBA in business from the University of South Carolina. I have backgrounds in both the financial sector and the customer service industry. After 2 decades, through our faith, sheer hard work and determination, my husband and I were able to exit the corporate world and pursue our dream of owning a tattoo & piercing studio. Our mantra in all things is “no what ifs”. We put our faith in the Lord, and we put people first, always.

I want the world to know that any thing is possible with faith and the willingness to work hard. Old Souls Ink is bringing the tattoo industry into the 21st Century where the client comes first. Our art and our client experience is top-notch. We welcome people of all ages and backgrounds and provide all with an experience they will never forget.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Weatherford, Texas is always full of fun things to do. Rio Mambo is the favorite spot for brunch and mimosas. Food trucks have become hugely popular. It’s always fun following our favorite trucks around town. The historic square is full of shops and restaurants which make afternoon walks and dining out worth the trip. On a pretty day, a frozen margarita and tacos hit the spot at the Downtown Cantina. Nightlife happens over at Antebellum’s, where drinks and eats are served outside to a frequently packed house. When the weather is nice, the Brazos River is a popular destination for boating, kayaking, and fishing, anything outdoors.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout to Cameron Jones, my husband, co-owner and artist at Old Souls Ink. Cameron and I have shared the dream of owning a tattoo studio since our high school days. With his support, love, and encouragement, we recognized our dream last year when we opened our doors for the first time. As a husband and wife team, we are able to lean into our individual strengths, always working together to achieve our goals and shared vision. He is my absolute rock and I’m so grateful for his constant support.
