We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie (DJ So Luxe) Ferguson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephanie (DJ So Luxe), what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I have always wanted to DJ, since I was a teenager. I love all music and always wanted to share that so becoming a DJ was an easy decision.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
To me what sets me apart is I am also an influencer in Dallas, OhSoMichele, and that I have my own style of DJ’ing. Since I am still fairly new as a dj, it has not been that easy to get noticed. To overcome, i just keep practicing and promoting myself on all social media which has been a big help in getting my brand out there. The lessons I have learned in this business and keep grinding & learning! Lastly, what I want people to take away from my story is that you still have time to pursue your dreams!! It is never too late!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would probably go to Deep Ellum. There are some very cool & exciting places to hang out and eat, such as Stirr & Harlowe. Other food places would be Kitchen & Kocktails, Ida Claire, and The Common Table in Frisco because they have a hip hop theme that I love.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom and grandmother deserve all the credit! They always listen to my ideas and encourage me to pursue whatever it is I want to do.
