We had the good fortune of connecting with Stefanie & Kettia Green and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stefanie & Kettia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
We realized that there is more to life than paying bills and dying. We quickly learned that there was a cap in the Mental Health field unless you furthered your education. We want to make a difference in our community and beyond without the limitations that are placed on the Mental Health Professionals.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Business is never an easy road to travel. It all started with an idea and going live. We did it all on our own until we realized we couldn’t. We hired several coaches to help us turn our brand around. We now have brand colors, a niche, and know our target audience. Anything worth having you have to work hard for and be willing to invest in. Building an empire is not easy at all. We’ve lost money and sleep, and we’ve have had days we awoke feeling rested, days we woke up to orders. At the end of the day, this is our brand and will never give up. Your business only grows as much as the person running it. We take time on the slower months to personally develop and focus on us. We have learned to narrow down niche, discover your target audience, and be consistent.
Our Brand is called Hey SK. We are life coaches who help our clients reclaim their time so they can delegate confidently. We also offer awesome empowering Merchandise and keepsakes for personal and business use. We are creating a movement with our exclusive Self-Care isn’t selfish hoodie and shirt collection. We are empowering and motivating others to put themselves first so they can show up for those they love authentically.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would take them to the stockyards to experience good eating and explore the shops. We would take them to Cowboys off Main St. Most of our friends are from the east coast so a drive the concept of a drive through liquor store where you can also get mix drinks is unheard of. We will take them to them Rudy’s to get some good ole brisket. My wife likes to put her brisket on a potato. We take them for tacos at one of the local taco spots. We would go to the Farmers market in Dallas. The market is one of our favorite spots. There are lots of museums we would explore. We would also ask them what they want to experience to create a fun filled week for them.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We want to shout out Shalena our coach. Working with her has changed the trajectory of our business and assisted us with narrowing down our niche. She put us on the path to make 2022 our Best Selling Year. She built a relationship with us and truly made us feel like family. We were definitely more than just a dollar sign to her, but truly built a healthy connection.
