Meet Stacy Cate | Realtor for Compass, focusing in far North Dallas area

We had the good fortune of connecting with Stacy Cate and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stacy, what do you attribute your success to?
I think the most important factor to my success is basically to accept that failure is not an option. I tend to have laser focus when it comes to how I run my business. With that, I have never looked at any given obstacle and thought to myself ” well this is the one that will end it all” I always look at obstacles as opportunities, ways to expand my problem solving skills and formulate a result that will take me to the next step. As a Realtor, my goal is to be the ‘problem solver’ for my clients so that their goals are reached.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I think that what I bring as a Realtor is a unique set of skills, area expertise and something I like to refer to as that touch of ‘southern hospitality’ to the transaction. I have honed my skill set to first and foremost listen to my client’s needs, provide a steady stream of communication and educate them as needed through the transaction process. I have often been told by past clients that it is my being in tune with their needs, my patience, communication and depth of knowledge that they appreciate most. Having my clients tell me and others that I have served them well makes me very proud.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorite places in the city are considered ‘old standbys’ by many locals. But, in my opinion they are standbys because they never disappoint. I love the Dallas Arboretum. It doesn’t matter the season, they always have beautifully tended gardens that are a true delight. You can’t help but feel happy when you’re walking those beautiful grounds. I also love to go down to the lower Greenville area and check out the funky shops and eateries for a fun day of exploring the quirky side. The Presidential George Bush museum is also one of my favorite spots to take guests. It is remarkable all the little know details you can learn while touring this museum. Another favorite is to take a day and tour the exceptional Historic Downtown McKinney. This hub has so much to offer you could easily make it a very enjoyable weekend. Also, I would take any guest to any one of our many professional sports team hubs. We are blessed to have so many world class options in this area. They all have something very special to offer anyone looking to experience the depth of our lifestyle here in the North Texas area.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A big factor in my overall success comes from the support and encouragement of my family. I have been married to my husband for 31 years and we have two beautiful daughters. Since the early 1990’s we’ve lived in this North Dallas area and have developed deep network of friendships and partnerships during that time. Witnessing the continually growth of this area has been really remarkable. We have been fortunate to get involved in a number of civic and charitable growth programs. It is through these years of being involved, raising our family, and giving back to our community that we attribute so many blessing in our life. The people that we have built relationships and partnerships with have each contributed to our lives so much and that is what makes this area home for us. The community network which has grown and evolved over the better part of 30 years are the roots that keep us connected and add to our success.
