We had the good fortune of connecting with SoHo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi SoHo, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Since a kid I’ve always been drawn to music. I started singing solos in the choir at 5, In high school I began making my own music with the homies, some of which I still make music with today. Can’t think of anything better than creating something from nothing.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
My art is just that, art. It’s meant to evoke emotion, be that good or bad; it’s up to you. My goal is to leave you with something to enjoy, replay and think about. I feel like I provide a unique perspective on the highs and lows of relations, situations, situationships, and relationships, I’m nice like that, I mean I am your ‘problematic wordplay bae’ lol. I joke but I’m serious.

I’m most proud of my recently released video with Rizzo Blaze to our song titled Radio. Shoutout to Daydream Media for making it a movie. Should definitely check that out!

I’m excited about my album coming later this year, it’s called Cross My Heart… I spent a lot of time making it. Thinking about it, questioning everything. Everything I love, everything I hate. Everything that crossed my heart.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Something with live music and a chill crowd; The Freeman and Thibodeaux’s are always great options. I’m a museum/art shows/exhibits kind of guy,

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Aight I wanna give a shoutout to God first off, the GOAT. Next up, a big shoutout to Rayy Hall, the best/most versatile producer in Dallas. All of the homies that have helped me get this far; Young E, Ghostman Gam, Curtis Mayz, Jack Stoise, Ashernaut, Rizzo Blaze. They are all dope artists that have pushed me to better my craft.
