We had the good fortune of connecting with Snora Webb and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Snora, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting a business is often a life-altering decision. It can affect you in so many ways beyond just financially. My thought process behind starting my own non-profit was all about my compassion and passion for helping others. The idea was sparked when my father-in-law passed. He was an Army veteran who was in the process of getting his life back in order. Prior to his passing, he lived in a home with other disabled veterans. However upon our arrival to retrieve his belongings, I was in disbelief by the living arrangements and the conditions in which he and the other veterans where living. After days of not sleeping as it was weighing heavy on my mind and heart. I figured there must be a better way. July 2020 with the help of my husband who is also a veteran, my mother and my brother, Family of Faith Coalition came to fruition.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
It’s quite simple, after taking a huge leap of faith from my employer due to unforeseen circumstances during COVID. Family of Faith Coalition quickly became a reality. During my 20plus-year tenue in the healthcare industry, I always exceeded above and beyond my job scope to help patients and or families that was in need. Whether putting them in contact with someone who could assist mentally, financially, spiritual or providing nourishments for the next day, week, or month. My job was meaningful knowing that I was able to help someone. I hold an AAS in Health Management, BBS in Business Administration and MHS in Health Administration as well as a NRCMA certification (National, Registered, Certified Medical Assistant). My professional and educational knowledge combined has provided me with the tools to bring Family of Faith Coalition to fruition. Family of Faith Coalition is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to helping those who need a fresh start in life. While transitioning from one phase of life to another. The organization is designed to help those in need of food, necessities, helping gain employment and finding permanent housing while providing shelter, life skills and counseling. We’re devoted and dedicated to helping individuals completely turn their lives around and reunite with family and friends. As we’re still in our growing phase, we pray that eventually one day soon we will be able to obtain a facility to house Veterans and or civilians who is needing and wanting a fresh start in life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Honestly, I wouldn’t be the best person to ask that question too, I’m such a home body. However, my husband Mr. Michael Webb, I call him my BOAZ😊 He would be able to tell you about several nice restaurants, family hang out spots, sports events, etc. Better yet the CEO of FOFC, my brother Joell McKay, he’ll be able to inform you of the popular spots. Our family Love to travel; I must make sure I’m well energized, my definition of a good time is Netflix and Chill any time 🙂

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Helping others is Contagious! It’s the first step in making the world a better place and improving the lives of those who aren’t as fortunate. At times it can be challenging with funding and operating a non- profit however having others who share the same or similar vision as you make the goal much easier. I’m extremely blessed to have amazing individuals who have been working with me from the start. Michael Webb (Co-Founder), Joell McKay (CEO), Elizabeth Morris (CFO) and FOFC board members. However, my #1 supporters are my parents Mr. Billy McKay and Mrs. Bertha McKay, I can’t express enough how having their support is greatly valued. At any community event providing nourishments, clothing, and toiletries to those in need. I must say, we wouldn’t be able to do any of it without the contribution, love and support from family, volunteers, sponsors, and various organizations. I can’t begin to name the many non-profits, business, religious organizations, and catering companies who have helped us throughout the years. Not only that but May of 2022, sponsored by Toyota of Denton and Honda of Denton, Family of Faith Coalition being the winning organization was able to bless the Allen-Poole family with a brand new 2022 vehicle of their choice. We thank God for how far we’ve come and praise in advance for where we’re going.
