We had the good fortune of connecting with SiseneG and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi SiseneG, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Stick With Love Yard Cards is a yard card sign business. We stick our customers greeting in the grass to help them celebrate with a blast! We service Alachua, Gainesville, High Springs, LaCrosse & Newberry, Florida.
The idea for the business was birthed in June of 2020 during a time when the world needed a little extra love the most. We help or customers spread love to those they hold dear. By we I mean me the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, because currently it’s just me! My mom helps with me pickups when needed.
We stick a card in the yard for any occasion. Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, graduation, retirement, housewarming, baby shower, gender reveal, church event, school event, work event, fundraiser, NPHC event, you name it! We’ve got our customers covered!
In addition to spreading love in yards I wanted to make sure that I spread the love of Christ and let people know they are loved so I post Love Notes to highlight love by posting a quote, Bible verse, song, prayers, etc.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Stick With Love Yard Cards, LLC. values faith, sevice, creativity, and dependability. Spending love in people’s yards and events has provided so much joy for me and the customers. My 9-5, is less creative so my business has been a great creative outlet for me. I just took a few minutes to read our reviews and what is echoed throughout is stellar customer service and professional from the ordering process to take down, uniqueness, and neatness. I am so happy that our core values are felt by customers. A good customer experience is what sets us apart. One of the greatest compliments I received was from a fellow yard carder that asked what system I used after I shared my processes. This is because I don’t use a system, it just me infomapping emails and using templates and documents that I’ve created. It took countless hours and researching in my very helpful yard card groups for me to learn from their pain points and a few of my early experiences to create a process that was both customer friendly and helpful to me, especially since I’m a one woman show, for now. What I want the world to know about me and my brand that faith is the driving force. What they love and compliment us on is because God is first in my life and it spans to my business. I operate my business as unto the Lord no matter how small it is at the moment. My pastor always says we give, to get, to give again. I seek for ways to be a blessing to the community and other small businesses and most importantly let my light shine as I spread love one yard at a time.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
It’s Gator football season so the itinerary must consist of a football game in the Swamp! If you come to the Gainesville area this time of year it’s a must. There is nothing like the noise and excitement of a Gator football game. We’d also have to go to Chomp the Block – Official Gator Block Party at Celebration Pointe and search for where a live band was playing, preferably Showtime because it’s always a good time.
I’ve grown to like Mexican food a lot because of my coworkers so we’d have to go to my weekly spot La Fiesta and we’d have to check out a few food trucks that I’ve visited lately, Wayne Heads Southern Kitchen and Xclusive Eatz.
My favorite thing to do is relax and get massages so we’d have to get a full body massage. My absolute favorite spa closed earlier in the pandemic, but I’ve been enjoying Haile Village Spa & Salon.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Pamela Jones, my mother.
