We had the good fortune of connecting with Shraddha Pokle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shraddha, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I always wanted to own a business, no one ever owned any business in my family. So I was very interested in being the first one ! Also I wanted to do something which I can handle it myself and don’t have to depend on anyone, if my staff doesn’t show up, business goes on as usual. I am easy in kitchen so wanted to try something with food industry, also something which I am proud of. After considering several other juice franchises, Kwench stood out, as far as the products and total investment!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
It is never easy to own a business and to run it successfully, is even more difficult. When I started I didn’t have an initial capital for the same and being a novice, no bank would give me a loan too. Finally somehow I managed to raise a capital. Another challenge was finding a good small size location. Took us almost a year finding a location for our store . You can find so many juice places but what sets apart is our service, our interactions with our customers. Since I spend lot of time in the store, I get to meet lot of customers, we love to engage with them and educate them about our products. That way they feel very comfortable. Also all our products are vegan friendly, without sugar or preservatives and everything is made fresh upon ordering! I always want to be an example to my kids or to anyone that if you want to achieve something in your life there’s nothing to stop you ! Work hard towards your goals and you will be successful!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are lot of places to visit in and around Plano, Frisco. All time favorite shopping and dinning place would be Shops at Legacy or Legacy West ! Even Waters Creek in Allen is good ! One can always find some good deals in Shopping Outlets in Allen. In and around Stonebriar Mall lot of choices to dine and shop ! Grandscape & Boardwalk is beautiful too ! Legacy Hall is awesome ! The shops at The Star are even better ! Depending on the season, trip to neighboring states parks is very refreshing ! For water activities Lake Lewisville is perfect in summer ! In March going to Tulip Garden in Pilot Point is must ! Trip to one of the cabins in Beavers Bend is mind blowing! Finally visit to Dallas Arboretum is a must !

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are many people I am thankful for their total support. First of all I am thankful to my husband (Vinayak Pokle) and my kids, they have been such tremendous help and support. My kids do so much for me without any expectations, they just want to see me successful! Secondly I am thankful to my partners Mr. & Mrs. Deshpande for supporting and having confidence in me and investing in my project. Without them this wouldn’t have been possible. Then there are few close friends who are also supportive and encouraging! And there are few, who are always making recommendations for us wherever they can ! Lastly to all wonderful customers who kept us going ! Year 2020 has been such a difficult year but they always showed up regularly and supported our business !
