We had the good fortune of connecting with Sherry Worthington and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sherry, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
When I was younger I used to keep all the cards that people would gift me in a box. I always loved the personal touch of each card and the time and effort that someone out there put into one particular card. At one point, I thought that I could create cards myself. I enjoy being creative with my cards and putting a personal touch that someone would be appreciative of in hopes that they too will save it or show it off. I want my cards to make people feel special and something that they want displayed for all to see. I leave my cards blank on the inside so that they can be used for whatever occasion and can be personalized with a message from the giver.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I want people to know that I’m very sincere about what I create . I put a lot of time and thought into making each personalized card so that people can feel special when it’s gifted.

The hardest part of making cards is making something that people will enjoy and be happy about.

My plans is to be a staple personal card center for others. I want my cards to be a household item that people will gravitate to because it’s not an basic card you can find at the store and it draws your attention.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I could recommend something for people to do in the city it would be El Pueblito. It’s a small Mexican restaurant with some of the best dishes.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate everything to God for allowing me to have the talent that I have and blessing me to be able to still do what I love.

I also what to thank my family including my husband, children, and grandkids for their support and always pushing me to do what I love to do. Especially my grandkids, they always love what Grammy makes and they even try to do it on their own.

My daughter, Kaneesha, thank you for nominating me to be apart of the show out interviews!
