We had the good fortune of connecting with Sherriē J. and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sherriē, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I am native to Dallas TX, in the U.S. I grew up with instruments in our home; the piano and organ. I also grew up with a Father who has musicians and healing facilitators in his ancestral lineage, in-turn I inherited the gift as well. I am a naturally gifted certified sound practitioner. My mission is to assist people in returning to their natural state of balance in their physical, emotional, and spiritual health through the use of healing techniques through instruments.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am one of the most impactful naturally gifted certified sound practitioners on planet Earth that positively impacts beautiful souls through the use of instruments. On an emotional spiritual and physical level. This natural and holistic wellness practice promotes healthy and positive change mentally and physically. I custom compose my melodies and I also allow my intuition to guide me.
.
I am most proud of my continuous efforts to heal my past trauma, hurt, and pain. I’m also most proud that my values have changed from what they used to be. I used to value monetary things and money. I now value more of my health making sure that I’m doing my daily spiritual practices to connect with myself on a deep level through meditation, yoga silence, self-acceptance; being comfortable in my skin, self-forgiveness, grace, being in nature, etc. eating the foods that are going to give me energy and keep me feeling young.
..
Today I got where I am professionally by releasing a lot of self-doubt self-hate trauma hurt, facing what I was in denial about with myself that held me back from getting out of my way by not allowing my self-critic to overtake my mind, learning to forgive others learning how to become lighter and free and in that healing…a gift awakened within me a gift that positively impacts the world through the use of sound instruments to promote healing and health. I was so heavy at one point that this gift wasn’t able to awaken because I had a lot of inner work to do now that I released a lot. A space in me was empty and it was filled with greatness, which is my gift
.
By no means was it easy to get here it took me getting out of my own way. I overcame the challenges of getting where I am today by following my intuition, trusting the process, following my intuition, and allowing my ancestors, spirit guides, ascended masters, my angelical team to guide me and listening to that guidance overall,on, Overall, I would say obedience.
.
don’t repeat old toxic behavior patterns when life is happening meaning when things are tough, when things aren’t going my way, still make efforts to show up as the person that I’ve always said that I am even in moments of chaos because that’s when my character truly tested.
.
I am original. I have a good heart and I’m a pure soul. The rest you’ll experience if we ever cross paths..

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Kalachandji’s which is a Indian buffet, Mediterranean food, various vegan restaurants, and Pappadeaux, because I love their seafood.

As far as different places, we would go to it depends on what they like, but I enjoy hiking trails, traveling to different parks, sitting at the dock with the speaker, a bite to eat, and some oxtails, Six Flags, a local beach, kayaking, a spa that you can hang out in all day Museum, traveling to different places to hear sound baths, paint and sip, live plays, Symphony Orchestra
