We had the good fortune of connecting with Shell Siaca and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shell, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?

When I started Galore X Studio, I actually started during a pandemic. I started school, got my license and opened Galore X Studio. I wanted to start a brand that catered to women and could be life changing for many, but also different from others.

Being able to have my clients trust me to tattoo their face and body is a very big deal for me, from natural looking tattooed brows to unwanted scars, and stretch marks. I also have ventured out into the 3D areola tattooing for anyone who has had breast reconstructive surgery, and I don’t take it lightly, this hits home because breast cancer runs in my family. Making a difference has always been a purpose for me, and the beauty industry came natural to me, so the two together made perfect sense.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

In this billion dollar beauty industry I had to set myself apart by bringing a different outlook on tattooing. I highly focus on the natural results of tattooed brows that not only look better than a brow pencil, but people cannot tell it’s a tattoo.

I love when my clients come back for their touchups and tell me people loved my brows and had no idea it was a tattoo until they told them.

Paramedical tattooing is very new, as I am the leading #1 shop in Fort Worth, TX, providing real results for my skin camouflage clients. Offering stretch marks, and scar tattoo camouflage services. My clients have received amazing results and didn’t even know it was an option until finding Galore X Studio and seeing pictures. I have ventured off into the 3D areola technique to service breast cancer survivors who have went through breast reconstructive surgery to help them by providing a solution for these beautiful women all around the world.

I have built my business on integrity and principles. Principles being, giving my clients a professional experience from beginning to end. Listening to my clients wants and expectations. Standing firm on my policies and procedures. My reviews on google and Vagaro makes me proud and let’s me know I’m operating in a form of excellence that my clients appreciate.

I’m very thankful and humbled to know I make an impact on others and the professionalism I learned from my Mother as a kid has transferred into my business as an adult. I have had multiple business before Galore X Studio, and even worked in corporate for years! I have been able to build a successful business off of principles and skills that I learned over the years. I basically just transferred everything over to my business that I learned over the years.

Getting here today with the success I have been blessed to see has it’s ups and downs. When you work for yourself you never really know where your next dollar is coming from, in the beginning it gets hard. I literally left my 9-5 to work 24/7! There is no relaxing as an entrepreneur if its just you. I am always thinking months in advance to keep my business running. However, I’m definitely a believer in God and know that he’s the reason for it all! He really did his big one with me! I speak affirmations over my business and life daily, as I watch them become reality.

I didn’t come from a rich family or had any handouts, I guess you can say I got it out the mud genuinely. To anybody wanting to start their business and leave corporate, I’d say to keep your head down, have a handful of strong supporters and run (literally) for it! You’ll know you are walking in your purpose when you lose sleep behind your dreams and willing to do a service for free or for little to nothing at times to grow in the beginning, THAT’S IT, you found your passion! Your passion will turn profit, just stay focused!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

I’m not really a go out on the town type of Woman, I’m very family oriented with my kids, travel and stay in the house.

If I had to take someone out here in DFW we would probably go down to deep elm and experience the food and night life.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

God first and foremost! He really did his big one with me answering my prayers! In the beginning of my career, I great mental support from my babies Shamar and Shamir (2 boys-kids), Anthony (Husband), Stephen and Andrea (Parents), Malika B. (Friend), and Brian R. (Cousin). These 7 individuals were right by my side believing everything I told them I would become. Sometimes they were just a listening ear when I just needed to talk to someone. They were my mental support in so many ways! My kids understood, mommy has to work long hours now in the beginning but when I leave corporate it will change our lives. After I left corporate and told my kids, they gave me  the biggest hug and told me how proud they were of me. We now spend so much time together and I have the freedom to be at every single game, practice, and school event.
