We had the good fortune of connecting with Swan (Shawanna Lee) and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Swan, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting my own business was a natural progression. I was surrounded by a family full of creative and fashionable individuals. It started with watching my mother, who did a lot of community/talent showcases for the city that I grew up in; these showcases gave the community something to look forward to. I would often watch and observe how the events were brought together to understand what happens behind the scenes and ultimately it gave me the exposure that I needed. As I got older, I took that inspiration and got involved in a lot of programs that focused on production which gave me the opportunity to use my talents and exposed me to the industry. As an adult, I used my talents to help and plan events for my peers and received opportunities to plan productions for corporate entities that I worked for. Eventually, I realized that I was doing what I love and could be lucrative doing so. Since I had already established a network and body of work with others from various industries, it made sense to create a brand and move forward with my business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We specialize in designing and managing premier events that raise your brand and drive more in-depth relationships with your audience. Our goal is to leave your guest in awe, curating unforgettable experiences. We provide timely communications and collaborations with vendors and key stakeholders to ensure that we produce an experience that is on-time and on-budget.

Swan 7 Productions developed our business services around “7 Points of Service” that include: 1). Weddings. 2). Private Parties 3). Corporate Events 4). Non-Profit Events 5). Show Production 6). Entertainment Brand Management and 7). Event Business Consulting.  We create a one-of-kind event experience that clients love.
