We had the good fortune of connecting with Sharifa Wahlstrom and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sharifa, what do you attribute your success to?
People. Most of my success comes from connecting with the community and my clients. I get to know each one personally. A lot of my business operates on word of mouth, so having that 1-1 time and connection with everyone makes such a difference. I don’t see them as a number, they are so much more than that.
What should our readers know about your business?
Larger companies may offer some benefits such as brand recognition and a larger network of locations, there are several reasons why stretching with a smaller company can be a great choice.
Smaller companies often offer a more personalized experience. With a smaller staff and fewer clients, you’re likely to receive more individualized attention and care during your stretching session. You’ll have the opportunity to build a relationship with your stretch therapist, who can get to know your body and tailor each session to your specific needs and goals.
I am proud to be able to have more flexibility when it comes to scheduling and pricing. I can often accommodate last-minute appointments or offer more affordable packages that fit your budget. I want this care to be more accessible to everyone.
It wasn’t easy to get here, it took a lot of effort to begin the journey and if it weren’t for my husband supporting me on the back end of things, I wouldn’t be able to do it.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would start them off with brunch at Berries & Batter in Highland Village. YUM! We would definitely have to stop in at the DMA, Klyde Warren Park & the Arboretum down town.
Next would be dinner at Sip & Savor. Their drinks, food and staff are AMAZING. Then walk around Denton square. We would also go paddleboarding/camping at Ray Roberts Lake.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family. They support me with everything and I’m so grateful for that.
