We had the good fortune of connecting with Sharaya Bell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sharaya, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is that my couples feel LOVED and heard. Everything goes back to my relationship with Jesus. It provides a foundation that shapes my actions, and strengthens my commitment to bringing people together in fellowship and celebration. I am authentically myself with all of my couples and they can feel that. Each relationship is unique, and so I do everything I can to get to know them as a couple to make their day an expression of them. This, in return, gives my clients the assurance they need to trust me with their special day so they can relax!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Beauty Marked Events is a Wedding and Life Event Planning company that began out of place of wanting to help others. We are dedicated to helping couples live the story they’ll be telling for the rest of their lives! We believe whole-heartedly that you deserve to be 100% present in life’s beautiful moments, and I want to be the one that allows you to do that!

I grew up in the church and my relationship with Christ helps me to love others well! I have a huge family ( one of seven) and I loved every minute of it! There was always a birthday, graduation, anniversary or family celebration party to plan which is where my spark started. Gathering people in the same room to share a meal and celebrate was one of my favorite parts about growing up. That led me to help plan and design church events, community and charity events and eventually a full time job in Weddings & Events!

Taking Beauty Marked Events on as a full time job was scary, but made easier through connection. Cultivating relationships with others in the Wedding & Event industry has been extremely beneficial. It has been so encouraging to get to hear their stories, what strategies worked from them, bounce ideas off of each other, create referrals and to make our businesses better. A few of my vendors have even become some of my dearest friends!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a shoutout to a few people that helped BME become what it is! First, Tyisha Howard-I am forever grateful for you mentoring me, giving me the chance to assist you, and then ultimately passing off the baton of BME to me! I am so blessed by you! Second-my amazing BME team. These events wouldn’t be possible without my dedicated and incredibly creative staff who have become family! Lastly & most importantly-Jesus, who gives me the strength and creativity to do this everyday!
