We had the good fortune of connecting with Shannon Savoy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shannon, how does your business help the community?
Narcissistic Abuse affects over 158 million people in the United States, and many survivors are unaware of what domestic abuse really is. Many people mistakenly believe that domestic abuse is only physical abuse. Physical abuse is one of the MANY forms of abuse. Emotional/psychological, sexual, financial, and spiritual abuse are the lesser-discussed forms of abuse.
Narc Free Living LLC was created to break the chains of abuse and empower others to thrive through biblical teachings and practical methodologies. Our goal is to eradicate the shameful stigma that survivors experience. The shame that prevents survivors from sharing impactful & powerful stories that may help themselves and others from healing and achieving their God-given purpose. This helps us become stronger, healed individually, and thusly stronger, more productive families and communities. We are here to change that and break the chains of narcissist abuse, link by link!
We understand that narcissist abuse, which is domestic abuse, can happen to anyone, regardless of demographics, socio-economic status, or background. We are here to help victims to become victorious, and those who are wounded become warriors. Narc Free Living LLC’s services include 1-on-1 individual recovery coaching, group coaching programs, business coaching, educational workshops, Rock Your Crown events for women survivors, online support groups, newsletters, digital magazines, apparel, domestic abuse training, speaking engagements throughout the Houston community and online, and much more!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a retired Army officer, Certified Life Coach, Speaker, Advocate, & survivor of physical abuse. I retired from the military 5 years ago. I was stationed in Hawaii and decided to relocate to Houston. I am glad about that decision. It was here in Houston that Narc Free Living LLC was formed and operates. I was an Information Technology Officer in the Army and today I put my past skillsets and practical knowledge even more use as I operate my own business.
Narc Free Living® is a life coaching business & deliverance ministry that caters to survivors of domestic violence & narcissistic abuse with biblical & practical strategies. I help my clients to identify red flags and helps formulate strategic tactics to recognize, heal, and overcome abusive relationships. Many do not recognize that they are in abusive relationships. I help them understand they are not alone, and they should not bear the shame of abuse. What sets me a part as a certified narcissist abuse recovery coach is that I truly connect and have a heart for survivors of abuse.
I am a trauma informed recovery coach, as well as, a speaker, survivor of domestic violence, & an advocate against abuse. I empower others to break the chains of abuse through empowerment & education. We go much deeper than recognizing the signs & traits of narcissists. We get to the root of trauma, abuse, so a transformational mindset shift can truly occur from the inside out.
What sets me apart is that I help my clients heal holistically. My services are spiritually and biblically based, but I also incorporate practical and psychological strategies. I help them form their “A-Team”. Your A-Team is your recovery coach (me!), your psychologist – that understands narcissist abuse, along with their legal team, and other prayer warriors & supporters who help them through this time. As a survivor abuse, I formulate programs and services that I wish I had. These experiences help me to understand firsthand how damaging narcissistic abuse can be and what is necessary to heal.
I started this business to help others understand that if I can make it out, so can they. If I can not only live but thrive after abuse, they can too. Even as I healed from domestic abuse, I knew then that I would do whatever I could to also help others that are in abuse. Through my own experiences, I understand those who are out of abuse and are currently in abusive family & interpersonal relationships. With narcissist abuse, the abuse does not stop once the victim leaves. So, we formulate effective strategies through one-on-one coaching, group coaching, and support groups so they are better prepared for litigation, recovery, and everyday life.
I want the world to know that regardless of how cruel people can be sometimes, there are still good-hearted people in this world. We provide support, validation, and a safe healing space whenever they are ready to begin their healing journey. Narc Free Living LLC is here for you.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Everything that I am and am becoming I owe to our Creator. I have been through the fire and back, but it is through the grace of God, I have overcome obstacles that were meant to destroy me. He’s taught me how to take lemons and make lemonade. Through this lens, I am also able to help others navigate their circumstances.
Also, my husband, Solomon Savoy is my biggest supporter, and I am his. Together, we show others that there is indeed love after abuse. We break generational curses, minister to others, and help spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that others can be free. He is a Regional Safety Manager with a major corporation as well as a licensed professional real estate agent here in the West Houston area.
