We had the good fortune of connecting with Shalon Morrow and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shalon, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
My work life has changed significantly over time. Running a business while making time for family and handling various other responsibilities has transformed our lives. I’ve learned the importance of not overworking myself. Now, I prioritize taking my own self-care days and set aside a day just to sit and reflect.
What should our readers know about your business?
At Sister2Sister Wellness Spa, we pride ourselves on offering a personalized and compassionate approach to body contouring and post-op care. Our mission is to help our clients learn to love their bodies again through self-care awareness. What sets us apart is our dedication to building strong, supportive relationships with our clients. We create a welcoming and nurturing environment where everyone feels valued and cared for.
The journey to where we are today hasn’t been easy, but it’s been incredibly fulfilling. When I started, attracting clients and establishing a reputation in a competitive market were significant challenges. I overcame these obstacles by offering exceptional service and fostering genuine connections with my clients. Word-of-mouth referrals and positive reviews helped build our reputation and client base. It wasn’t to hard because I started months before announcing that I had a new business coming.
Throughout this journey, I’ve learned the importance of resilience, adaptability, and self-care. It’s crucial to stay flexible and open to change while maintaining a clear vision for your business. Additionally, taking care of myself allows me to better care for my clients and my family.
Sister2Sister Wellness Spa is more than just a business; it’s a community. We are dedicated to empowering individuals to embrace self-care and body positivity. Our story is one of passion, perseverance, and a commitment to making a difference in people’s lives. We want the world to know that at Sister2Sister, you are not just a client; you are part of a family that supports and celebrates you.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love when my friends come in town this give me a chance to find fun place to go and treat them to something different. We like to get out early to first stop is brunch at XOXO because its so cute. Next we going to head over to nice day party somewhere downtown dallas. Later that night I work find a place where we can do a DIY like make a purse, candle, or wine tasting.
Sunday church and then dinner at STK steakhouse. We would buy a resort pass and go to a nice hotel to enjoy poolside view and get little tan from the sun.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I give all the credit to myself, of course, but also to my husband, who handles maintenance, runs errands, prepares dinner, and more. I definitely couldn’t do it without my dedicated clients, whom I truly love and appreciate.
