We had the good fortune of connecting with Sereta Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sereta, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started my own business because I always had a love for skincare, esthetics and really the beauty industry as a whole. Growing up in a small town however, there was no avenue for that so i had to create it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Marketing and communication keeps me almost as busy as directly servicing clients. It is very important to keep that line of communication open whether it is responding to business inquiries or simply interacting via social media.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As a non-native to the DFW, I would definitely take my guest on a food tour! Since moving here, this has been my favorite thing to discover. Breakfast at the Breakfast Brothers, lunch at Smokeaholics BBQ, dinner at Shell Shack, dessert at The Cake bar. For some more active fun, we can definitely go to Andretti’s, Epic Indoor waterpark and have a night out in deep ellum. There are also tons of beautiful parks and walking trails here

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give my shoutout to all of the clients who believed in me. You can’t grow a business without an audience. It’s something striking about the fact that they can choose to book anywhere else, to give their hard earned money anywhere else or refer friends and family somewhere else but they chose me. It is truly an inspiration for me when I begin to question myself
