We had the good fortune of connecting with SEEREL MEADOWS and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi SEEREL, why did you pursue a creative career?
I decided to create Dallas Discovered because it gave me the opportunity to combine my background in marketing with my love of exploring the city’s social scene. It allows me to source and create content that both entertains and provides a service. I wanted to give a platform to local businesses to showcase their own creativity and talent and reach audiences they may not have been able to on their own. This blog allows me to source the best that Dallas has to offer and deliver it to the people that most want to experience it, whether that be in person or simply through pictures.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started Dallas Discovered in June of 2020 after relocating from Seattle and realizing just how amazing Dallas is. I love to help Dallasites old and new discover the exciting things happening around the city, while in turn supporting local businesses and working together as a community to highlight all Dallas has to offer.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I get this question a lot! I love for visitors to have a Dallas expirience unlike anything you can discover in any other city. While restaurants, shopping, and other entertainment are important there are so many things you can find in DFW that you will never find elsewhere.
Fort Worth Stockyards- My favorite place to take people from the city to give them a little country expirience (of course this includes a stop to the cattle drive, Joe T Garcia’s, and Billy Bobs
Grapevine- I never knew Texas had wine (AND GOOD WINE) – I love taking visitors to main street to spend a day tasting and exploring the wineries and tasting rooms as well as the railroad and hotel vin
Bishop Arts- JUST WOW- From the gorgeous streets and décor to the the amazing food options. This little part of town is sure to have something for everyone
At&t discovery district- The one stop shop to all things Downtown. No other city I have been to has anything like this and I love that there is so much to take in at just one location.
Dallas Farmers Market- From the Ruibals photo apps, to the curated food and treats, to the boutiques and Texas themed shops- This is the perfect spot for out of towners
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to give a shoutout to my friends and family who I constantly drag to go exploring with me, help me narrow down photos, and hold the light exactly where it needs to be. Shoutout especially to my husband who always has to eat his meals cold because everyone knows phone eats first 🙂
