We had the good fortune of connecting with Sau-Sha Meraki and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sau-Sha, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Being the first in my family to start a business, I felt lost and alone many times. Even though I come from a family of hustlers, no one knew how to turn their hustle into a business that could be systemized and scaled. I knew there had to be other people like me with a bomb business idea but no idea how to make it a reality. So, I started to brand myself as a business and mindset coach to help women build a lucrative brand and cultivate the mindset needed to handle wealth. I love the saying, “A million-dollar home holds the same amount of sorrow as a hundred thousand dollar home.” It does my heart no good to help someone build up their bank account while their soul is suffering. I want the women I help to flourish mentally, spiritually, AND financially.
What should our readers know about your business?
I help women bridge the gap between generational curses and generational wealth by building a brand that attracts their ideal clients. I believe what sets me apart is that I was anointed for this, meaning God’s grace covers me and my business. My business objective isn’t to chase a bag; it is to add significant value to ‘women’s life that can be passed down for generations to come. I’m so excited about connecting the dots for other women and helping them see themselves properly so they can prosper in ALL areas of their lives. When I look back over my life, it’s nothing BUT the grace of God that has gotten me to where I am today. No, it was not easy. However, I embrace the good, bad, and the ugly because it all was designed to work for my good. I have learned to trust the process, even when I can’t make sense of what is going on in that exact moment. I want others to know that I cultivated my brand with women like them in mind because I was once her, struggling to make sense of how the desires of my heart didn’t reflect my reality. I want them to know that I come humble but secure because I have the answer to a lot of the struggles that they may be facing professionally and personally.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m from a city not far from Dallas, TX. So, if I really wanted to show out, we would be hitting the road to Dallas, to enjoy ourselves! First off, I would reserve a nice Airbnb near downtown Dallas, followed by drinks and dinner at Pappadeux! For the most part, my friends and I are pretty laid back, so we would be back at the Airbnb, crashing, enjoying the peace and quiet for the rest of the stay.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, God deserves ALL the credit when it comes to my story. He has provided me with the provision and taken care of all of the necessary steps for building my brand. I believe that God sends people to help you, and at the beginning of my coaching journey, he sent me my business coach, Tasha Blackman, of Blackman digital. Tasha helped me set the foundation for my brand and helped make sure that my core values were at my business’s roots. Besides that, I’ve been getting it from the mud through research, fasting, and prayer, along with a lot of trial and error.
