We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarah Lawrence and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sarah, what are you inspired by?
My inspiration for my business is color, and my family. I absolutely love colorful things, and you can definitely see that in my nail polishes. I also can’t stand boring polishes with no oomph to them. It’s so hard for me to make a solid creme polish, because I like a lot of sparkle and glitter.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I love creating very colorful, and exciting polishes. When I make a polish I always have either the color, or name in mind first, and I go from there. All of my polishes are handmade in small batches. Some of the names of my polishes are inspired by sayings from my Grandma, puns, etc. I’d have to say it makes me pretty proud just knowing that taking the leap of faith to start this business was worth it. It hasn’t always been easy, and still isn’t, but it’s a creative outlet I love and can express myself through, and the best part is that I get to share it with everyone. I think you’ll be able to see the love, effort, and quality that’s put into each polish.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would have to go check out Maria Cuca’s Mexican restaurant in Keller. They have the best Margaritas, and they’re strong. The food is amazing and great quality. Next we would go to some of the antique malls around like the Montgomery Street antique mall in Ft. Worth, and the Lonestar antique mall in Haltom City. For fun we’d probably go to Dave and Busters or Alley Cats in Arlington.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are a lot of people that deserve shoutouts. My family, friends, and my swatchers have played an important role in my business, and supporting me along the way. I also wouldn’t be where I am without my amazing customers.
