Meet Ryan Thomas | 27Strong President

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ryan Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ryan, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I asked myself why Mental health has become so popular over the last decade. It is my humble opinion that when GOD was excluded from schools and businesses, people lost easy access to that peace that surpasses all understanding. I proceeded to think of ways that we could reintroduce GOD to a hurting world in a subtle way. I then decided that we would let our actions of love speak louder than the words we could ever say. We could take a Reactive & Proactive approach to make a positive impact in communities. Mental health is reactive, and education is proactive.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I remember being a young child and thinking to myself, “I will make a lasting impact in this world.” I just felt like there was something special about my name. That thought as a 6 year old child has driven me my entire life. There is nothing wrong with being employed, as I have been in Banking for 25years. However, I have an entrepreneurial spirit and will always look for various ways to make a greater impact. It sounds cliche but people need to know it is true. “You can achieve anything you put your mind to.”
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If someone is like me and wants to escape the daily routine, Broken Bow, Oklahoma is the place to be. These luxury cabins provide an opportunity to rejuvenate and get away from yourself from distractions. One of my favorite vacation places that allows me to appreciate the beauty of this world.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents are largely responsible for my vision because of how I was raised. They helped me to understand the power of believing and trusting in Gods provision. My mom Deborah Thomas has inspired me to create the Deborah Thomas Scholarship Fund (DTSF). She transitioned in 2018, but her willingness to give and bless other people will continue. My father has been my rock; a great example of what a father should be. I am really blessed to have such supporting family & friends.
