Meet Rozy Morani: Co-creator/co-owner The Happy Lab

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rozy Morani and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rozy, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor of success behind The Happy Lab brand is keeping happiness at the core of everything we do. It’s what helped our business pivot during the pandemic. We went from celebrating milestones in person at our storefront to taking the celebration to our clients’ doors. Parties can be cancelled, but happiness cannot.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
THL’s signature has always been the rainbow. It represents happiness. From our store design to our signature balloon installs, we try to incorporate happy and colorful messages. We love the idea of happiness being delivered to your doorstep, it’s a tough time for almost everyone and we get to be a part of making their day. We have put our all into this concept. With current challenges, we had to completely change our business model. Though we made the decision to close our storefront, adapting to the current needs of our clientele has ultimately kept us in business. Even though The Happy Lab is not operating in the same way as it used to, our mission remains the same: spread the message of happiness in all that we do.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Truck yard, Dallas – Love the atmosphere, the live music and those Philly cheese steaks Serious Pizza, Deep Ellum – Pizza slices as big as your face in the middle of the night. BBQ chicken Carrollton – We get the Gangnam style wings and hop over to Snow City Cafe for dessert Klyde Warren Park, Dallas – One of my favorite places in the city, I love spending a day there with my kids and riding the vintage trolley Legacy West Food Hall, Plano – I love catching the game on their big screen and finding an eclectic mix of every food under the sun. Friendly’s Tacos, Harry Hines – This place is literally a gas station, but the street tacos and elotes are the best in the city, no arguments. Catch a Maverick’s game at the AAC, Dallas Amore’s, Grapevine – My family has been eating at this restaurant for the last 17 years, we don’t eat Italian food anywhere else. Downtown Denton – It’s really an adorable place to hang out, bonus points because I met my husband there. Catch the view from Reunion tower, Dallas
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My dad. This guy is a walking self-help book. He uplifts me, encourages me and believes in me more than I believe in myself. When my husband and I made the difficult decision to walk away from our storefront, my dad was there for every tearful phone call. He told me “you have bigger things waiting for you, I know it.”
