We had the good fortune of connecting with Roses and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Roses, why did you pursue a creative career?
When I am creating it feels like I can travel to the places I can’t get to…and when I saw the consistency of that feeling I knew that creativity was my forever lane. I love to help people, it’s a big part of my passion and purpose and knowing that some of my creativity give hope to others further provides the reason behind my drive and responsibility to share the gift given to me.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Sculpted Roses Company operates as a business led by creativity from the pillars of writing, art, and life coaching. A formal focus within the Transformation, Inspiration, and Empowerment to businesses, organizations, and individuals. What sets our company apart is the reach into multiple occupations and using creativity to enhance to business world, add to artistic world, and encourage individuals.

I am most proud of the opportunity to affect change and promote healing every time I create.

I am at where I am today because of God, prayer, faith, the mentorship of Christoph Jenkins, Backpack Jeff, The Denton Freedom House and the encourage of family and friends.

It was by no means easy and has not become any easier but that is the beauty of a dream. You keep working towards it and every step is growth or a lesson that helps your efficiency into the next level.

I overcame the challenges by learning to be vulnerable. I am very much type A personality and don’t like to ask for help or tell others what is going on in life. However, I have learned to let go of my own pride long enough to let those who genuinely care for me be able to encourage, pray, or help when I am in need. But I had to learn to better communicate what I was struggling with, I don’t have it all together, listening to encouraging advice can carry a lot of my anxiety.

The biggest lesson I have learned is to manage your stress, to-do list, etc…by simply making an effort, chipping away a little at a time, work on what you can control. This eliminates a wondering mind and overflow of anxiety.

I want the world to know that Sculpted Roses Company can add value to your vision through a creative lens that will not only add depth and meaning but bring more awareness/interest to what you hope to accomplish as an organization or individual.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am very much a home body who does not go out much so, if my best friend came out to visit we would do my favorites which consist of going to the movies (AMC, Movie Tavern, or The Alamo), the mall (any/all of them), and food would be Shell Shack, Cava, or Pizza.

I do enjoy going to museums (which Dallas has a few), Parks in the city, or local events (as a poet I love a good open mic).
