We had the good fortune of connecting with Robin Amber Vadehra and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Robin Amber, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
What is the most important factor behind your success / the success of your brand?

The most important factor behind the success of Precious Gems Photography has been connection — with my clients, my community, and my purpose. I’ve built my brand around making people feel seen, celebrated, and truly themselves in front of the camera. Whether it’s a mama glowing in her maternity session, a child full of personality during a themed mini, or a small business owner stepping confidently into their brand — I approach every session with heart, patience, and intention.

Consistency and creativity play big roles too, but it’s the trust I build and the genuine care I pour into every shoot that keep clients coming back and referring their friends. My goal isn’t just beautiful photos — it’s beautiful experiences. That’s what turns a photo into a keepsake, and a client into family.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Please tell us more about your business. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today business-wise? Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way? What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?

Precious Gems Photography is more than just a business — it’s a reflection of my heart. I specialize in lifestyle, milestone, family, and branding photography that captures emotion, personality, and connection. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is photographing families — freezing those sweet, chaotic, love-filled moments that pass all too quickly. I’ve made it my mission to help families feel relaxed and present, so we can capture the kind of images that bring joy for years to come.

What sets me apart is the experience I create for my clients. It’s warm, personal, and full of intention. I want every session — whether it’s a family running barefoot through wildflowers, a high school senior on the brink of a new chapter, a mother glowing with new life, or a small business owner stepping into their brand — to feel effortless, meaningful, and real.

I’m incredibly proud of how far the business has come — from passion to profession. But it wasn’t easy. Like many creatives, I faced imposter syndrome, steep learning curves, and the challenge of balancing business growth with authenticity. What helped me push through was staying rooted in why I started — to document memories in a meaningful way and give people photos that feel like them.

Some of the biggest lessons I’ve learned? Community matters. Growth takes time. And showing up authentically is the best marketing there is. I’ve been lucky to grow alongside incredible mentors and peers who believe in lifting each other up. And now I get to do the same for others — whether it’s through photography, mentorship, or creative collaboration.

What I want the world to know is that Precious Gems Photography is a space for everyone — full of light, love, and connection. We’re here to celebrate every stage of life, especially the ones that happen in everyday, messy, beautiful family moments — because those are the ones that matter most.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Day 1 – Welcome to Cowtown
We’d kick things off in the Fort Worth Stockyards — grab coffee at Vaquero Coffee Co., wander the brick streets, watch the longhorn cattle drive, and of course stop for some iconic western-style photos. After exploring, we’d swing by Nektar Juice Bar for fresh smoothies and a healthy pick-me-up to fuel the rest of the day!

Day 2 – Brunch, Botanicals, and Browsing
Start the day with brunch at The Social House in Fort Worth, then head to The Fort Worth Botanic Garden for a peaceful stroll (and dreamy flower-filled photos). Later, we’d explore Magnolia Avenue — a must for cute shops, cool murals, and dessert at Melt Ice Creams!

Day 3 – Culture + Creative Spark
A perfect day for The Modern Art Museum or Kimbell Art Museum. Then we’d visit ArtsGoggle or a local pop-up market if it’s happening — I love showing off our talented local artists and makers! Dinner at HG Sply Co. on the Trinity River for food with a view.

Day 4 – Family Fun Day
We’d start the morning with breakfast at Native Coffee + Kitchen in North Richland Hills — the cozy vibes and delicious food are perfect for fueling up. Then we’d head to Peppa Pig Theme Park for a full day of family-friendly fun and laughter! It’s such a magical place for little ones, with interactive rides and colorful photo spots that even grown-ups will secretly love.

Day 5 – Small-Town Feels & Nature
We’d do a day trip to Grapevine or Roanoke for small-town charm. There’s always something cute happening — farmers markets, boutiques, antique shops. We’d end with a lakeside sunset picnic at Grapevine Lake, where I love shooting sessions!

Day 6 – Self-Care & Sweet Treats
Start slow with coffee and pastries from Casa Linda Bakery, then maybe squeeze in a little spa time or boutique shopping in Southlake Town Square. We’d catch a movie at The Grand Berry Theater, then tacos at Velvet Taco or Taco Heads.

Day 7 – Local Love + One Last Hurrah
Wrap it up with brunch at Bread Winners Cafe, and stop by a local mural or flower field for some final photos. Maybe even a fun mini session — because if your bestie visits and doesn’t end up in your portfolio, did they even come?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to give a huge shoutout to Jennifer Chavez of JC Photography & Design, LLC. She’s been an incredible mentor in our local community, and I began taking photography-related classes with her in 2024. In January of 2025, I officially became her mentee, and that experience has truly elevated my perspective, my business, and my craft. Jennifer has poured so much wisdom, encouragement, and practical support into me — I’m so grateful for her.

I also have to recognize the amazing group Click DFW — our local photography community that has become such a staple in both my personal and professional growth. From educational workshops to shootouts and a constant atmosphere of encouragement, it embodies everything I love about this field: community over competition. They remind me that we rise by lifting others and that there’s always room to keep learning, evolving, and becoming the best version of yourself.
