Hi Rick E., why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Music and art are the most natural essentials of life. I’m fortunate to have followed my passion naturally as every day living and enjoyment since a small child. I have treasurable experiences that top all the memorial mountains of Rock and Roll and also Heavy Metal music. I am still adamantly in the pursuit of great music and the best guitar players. today. I’m most excited about X610chil upcoming release Escape The Dream System and the shred of James Norton in the Guitar Competition by Jared Dines on YT. There are so many excellent musicians and bands in Arlington, Dallas, Fort Worth that deserve to be enjoyed by the masses, which is the fun of our BLOW YOUR BRAINS OUT podcast. BYBO.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The podcast BLOW YOUR BRAINS OUT With Rick E. Warden & Dave Jarvis & Ariel have been the main #1 focus for all of 2023 and will continue to be the focus as BYBO popularity grows and the opportunities to help musicians increase. We hope more than anything to have fun promoting all the excellent bands and artist locally in Arlington, Dallas, Fort Worth areas. Hopefully we are able be successful enough to continue on promoting unsigned bands and artist throughout the US and around the world. As has been the main theme throughout my life.
From knocking on the door of Darrell Abbott at age 14 years old to breaking down the doors of social medias today, good music drives me through the chaos of life to the insanity of artists friendships and enjoyment.
I hope you find my music and songs enjoyable as i continue to write, record and perform. my first band is MR. FREAK and the FREAK SHOW BAND. Most recently Me & My DEAD FRIENDS. Playing guitar and singing is my main love. Promoting my music and other Bands and Artist music is my main focus.
Being a musician artist is 100% an investment of $$$, Time and Energy that is mostly rewarded in treasures immeasurable. Im determined to find a way to at least pay the bills with my love of music while also inspiring others doing the same. Rise together!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Dallas is a tourist desert generally. I’m your guy for DFW tourism. Being born in Arlington, Texas and lived here 58 years i know most of the history and all the out of the way great spots to visit for any occasion, but especially music. From the best bars like GROWL Arlington to The Kessler in Oak Cliff, both showcasing the best of local talent. Most people ask about the glory days Deep Ellum or PANTERA, making those my main spots to entertain friends. I can take you to and tell you the great stories about every former venue in Deep Ellum. I know every location PANTERA related and many great stories to tell and pictures. Also taking friends to unknown about things like the Stevie Ray Vaughn Trail at Paul S. Dryer Preserve in DeSoto is always appreciated.
Most everybody visits the Dealey Plaza and the JFK memorial area. Ive read all the books and give account to all the different angles.
My friends and i mostly enjoy checking out the great bands like DANK, Against All Odds, Iron Jaw, Rivethead, The Argonaut , Here For Now and others at Growl / Division Brewing Arlington, Big Rob’s Euless, Haltom Theater and Reno’s Chop House in Deep Ellum. Visiting the local rehearsal locations with a rehearsing band is a lot of fun!
Comedy is back big in DFW, in part thanks to the comedy revolution in Austin, Texas.
