We had the good fortune of connecting with Ressa Wright and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ressa, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Work life balance takes effort. I spend the day with my clients and then find myself at night working on pictures, reels (thanks Instagram) or the best treatment for my clients. While also being a single mother and volunteer work. The balance has changed from going to work clocking in/out not thinking about it until the next day. To constantly thinking of ways to better my business. I try to schedule myself one day off a week to take care of other projects or obligations. Family time is in the evenings not on my phone for work but making the best time with my child. I enjoy the balance, I may work more hours at home but I like having the flexibility to do so.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I strive to help people look beautiful and young without filters or Botox. I offer four different skin tightening services for all skin types, skin color and schedules. We offer Fibroblast for 1 or more treatments, this service is only good for skin type 4 or less. Procell that is recommended every 4 weeks for 3-4 treatments. With Procell we can also help with hair regrowth. Jet plasma that can be every 48 hours or weekly for 6-8 weeks and radio frequency. We also offer body sculpting to help lose inches and cellulite. I have learned that with these services and being in Texas, the hotter months are not as busy so you must plan accordingly. Be prepared financially and mentally for a lighter schedule. I am thankful for almost one full year of a successful business with no debt or overhead. That helps with the slower months. I would not have had such an amazing first year without my mentor, best friend guiding me, teaching me and supporting me.

The Sculpt Project is more than a career choice, it is a blessing to meet so many different people and help them see their beauty as others do. To connect, build women up, motivate them to have a healthier lifestyle through body sculpting or meet beauty goals with any service. I enjoy what I do and look forward to growing and adding more services for my clients.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We are located in Roanoke and have some of the best restaurants on Oak St. There is everything from Babe’s chicken, Tex-Mex, Cajun and more! But for dessert the drive to Moxie’s in Southlake is great way to end the night. A class at the Floral Bar or Board & Brie is a must!  And try the local wine, Wondry.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Carrie Hunt at Stella’s Room. She has guided me every step of the way. Opened up her clients and location to me. She always has great advice to push me through any obstacles I have faced in this first year.
