We had the good fortune of connecting with Regina Nance and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Regina, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started out with just small catering gigs for family and friends. But when I saw that people actually enjoyed my food, I got a little more serious. I went out on a limb and purchased my food trailer in November of 2021. I don’t regret that decision one bit. I have people reaching out to me from multiple cities inquiring about booking my food trailer for their events. I love bringing the “Smoke” to the people! I really enjoy cooking and I more so love to see the smiles on people’s faces when they bite into a Sensual Smokes food item.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Even though some people may walk down the same path, everyone’s journey is different. My journey hasn’t been perfect but it’s been worth it. I have stumbled across many obstacles but with the help of God and my support system, I overcame them. My business is the real definition of you have to spend money to make money. Budgeting has been my bestfriend throughout this journey because without it makes running a business much harder. I have also had to learned that I have to make time for my own business. I was so caught up in working my 9-5 making someone else successful and putting my business on the backburner. I no longer do that. I put my business first and don’t think twice about it.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without my strong support system. You know sometimes you need someone to push you or even get the fog off your glass so that you can see the vision/path more clear. My right hand lady Lashun and my sister Lauren, have pushed me into a position of being successful at what I do.
