We had the good fortune of connecting with Rebecca Soto and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rebecca, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
In my 8 years working in the beauty industry, one of the most important lessons I’ve learned is the value of loyalty and people that are part of my career , clients for me are what make me realize everyday how much I love my job. being able to listen to everyone’s story, what they’re going through, special moments, and how much they trust me with their hair is something I never thought I would be able to reach.
This career has shown me the true colors of life in so many aspects , no many can say their clients become friends and family as well as my coworkers become part of my personal life ,
The career i chose is amazing I get to be my true self , I get to be artistic and enhance women’s beauty , making them feel like a million bucks
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m excited about the future what I will be doing in 5-10 years , this industry keeps on growing and id love to keep growing as well there’s no stopping me I love to hear about more girls wanting to attend cosmetology school , when they comment about my craft and how it inspires them to do the same , I know everything I’ve done is worth it
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love anything outdoorsy from hiking at the cedar ridge preserve to going on a cute date to the Japanese garden in forth worth I truly enjoy eating with a nice rooftop view and nice weather, Sky Blossom is a perfect example, I could start by having a late lunch seeing the sun setting to trying their delicious cocktails at night and going bar hoping around deep ellum area
the Dallas world aquarium is fascinating to visit along with the Dallas museum of art, and how can forget going to the movie theatres and drive in is one of my favorite things to do on the weekends
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family and my Husband, they are my biggest supporters even trough my craziest ideas they never judge me or make me feel like I wont succeed
