We had the good fortune of connecting with Razia Mirza and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Razia, how do you define success?
Everyone’s meaning of success is different. To me being successful means, having the freedom to do what I love and be able to make a career out of what I love.

What should our readers know about your business?
Struggling with sever acne issues as a teenager, I knew what my calling was. I found my passion in medical aesthetics and skincare and decided to help others restore a youthful skin and build confidence inside out. I Worked as an esthetician 10 years and then became US army surgical nurse where I learned more about reconstructive plastic surgery. In 2019, I realized I can no longer work for others, and have to take the risk and open my own company. In 2019 I started my business, Razi Medical Aesthetics which is currently located in Dallas Texas. I Specialize in Acne and Hyper-pigmentation treatments and my practice focuses on corrective skincare treatments. I always knew with dedication, hardwork, and right business plan I will succeed and that is why my business is still standing and hasn’t failed. It is not easy and it is not meant to be easy. I just keep pushing daily and take it one day at a time. Being authentic and my true self has helped me build my clientele and since day one I focused on quality over quantity. I come from a refugee family in Afghanistan. all my life i have been controlled by men in my society and have been told that my place is in the house not in the business world, but I was just too rebellious to listen to them. Knowledge became my biggest power tool in life. I want the world to know that anything is possible. If you have a fire inside you and a passion for something that you love, then failure is not even an option.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am an introvert and I enjoy deep conversations. I would go to bandon beach in Oregon and will book an Airbnb. We will definitely go by the beach at night to enjoy the cold breeze, gaze at the stars and have talks about our purpose in this world, or what is the real reason behind this life and world. Ocean is where I belong and most my friends know this. I love hiking, so we will for sure be going on some long hikes and have brunch after the hike.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are two people in my life who believed in me, first my brother and second my husband. My brother gave me a book as a gift to read and it was Robert Kawasaki’s book rich dad and poor dad. This book changed my mindset about wealth. My husband provided me the support system which helped me in my business career
