We had the good fortune of connecting with Ramon Maldonado and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ramon, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I believe the thought process started subconsciously at a early stage in my life as I was introduced to a gift I had no idea would be one of the biggest passions of my life. I fell in love with music, production, performance, business side of the market, etc…

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art. Cumbia music. I feel like I’ve always gone against the norm on my creations. Always trying to stay away from what everyone else is doing, but staying close enough to be recognized as part of the genre at the same time.

Was it easy? Not at all. Is it easier now? Not at all. lol!
We overcome challenges everyday! Its a constant struggle with this fast paced world we live in! You have to keep moving, have to keep creating, sometimes its hard, its actually many times impossible but it CAN be done. I have given these words of advice before to some of my close loved ones. “Make your NEXT move, your BEST move”!

Lessons? I would say its more of a perception of what I’ve come to learn. Life in general has a balance. like an aura, a battery, an equation. A plus side and a negative side. The beautiful thing here is WE get to choose which side we stay on.

My brand? Just know that its REAL. Its MUSIC made con CORAZON. We are REAL, and like our music, also We are all HEART.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
well, I think Cowtown would be a must! Show them the historic side of our little village. Local attractions, ofcourse catch either a Ranger game, and show off the new stadium lol, and also the home of “Americas Team”… there’s alot of great local small business owners, shops, restaurants locally and in the barrio, I would definitely show them the “good” spots!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First of all my BIGGEST mentors are now my guardian angels. Mom, my biggest fan, motivator, LIFE coach! love you forever ‘ama! Dad always as well helped with the opening financial help to my journey as well! Gracias ‘apa! My families support, guidance, my children’s patience, the fans of our projects! Carlos Canales, taught me so much of the business side and thanks to him I was able to presence so much greatness!
