Meet Rachel & Danny Duran | Photographers/Videographers

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rachel & Danny Duran and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rachel & Danny, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Before we launched Forget Me Not Pictures, we each ran our own sole proprietorships—Rachel Eubanks Photography and Danny Duran Photography. When we decided to come together both personally and professionally, we knew we wanted to create something bigger and more established. We’d only operated as sole proprietors, so transitioning into an LLC felt like the right step to make our business more legitimate and set the foundation for long-term growth.
We love what we do—mainly capturing weddings and family milestones—and as we’ve grown our business, we’ve learned firsthand how much dedication, creativity, and resilience it takes. That’s inspired us to also support and encourage other small businesses.
Being involved in the community is a big part of why we started Forget Me Not Pictures. We’ve been active with groups like Braver Together and the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, and we’re always looking for new ways to contribute. We’ve also had the privilege of providing support to nonprofits like Girls Inc. and The Welman Project. For us, it’s about more than photography—it’s about building relationships and being part of something meaningful.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Forget Me Not Pictures is a husband-and-wife photography and videography business specializing in weddings, families, and small business branding. What sets us apart is the personal connection we build with every client—we don’t just take photos; we help tell their story with honesty and heart.
We’re proud of the relationships we’ve built and the trust our clients place in us to capture their biggest moments. Getting here wasn’t easy. Like many small businesses, we started with limited resources and had to learn everything ourselves—juggling day jobs, parenting, and late-night editing sessions.
What got us through was staying true to why we started: to create something meaningful together. Community support from organizations like Braver Together and the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce also made a huge impact.
The biggest lesson has been to stay adaptable and never stop learning. Trends and tools will change, but caring for people never goes out of style.
If there’s one thing we want people to know about Forget Me Not Pictures, it’s that we’re committed to capturing memories that feel real and last forever.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Day 1 – Welcome & Comfort Food
We’d start with dinner at Wabi House on Eighth Avenue. Their ramen is incredible, and it’s such a cozy, welcoming spot to kick off the week, great rooftop patio!
Day 2 – Sushi & Arcades
Lunch would be at Akarii Revolving Sushi on Seventh Avenue—it’s fun for everyone to pick their favorites off the conveyor belt. Afterwards, we’d head over to Cidercade on Berry by TCU, which is hands-down one of the most fun places to spend an afternoon as a family. There are endless classic arcade games, and the grown-ups can enjoy cider while the kids play.
Day 3 – Outdoor Fun & Pizza
We’d plan an evening at Zoli’s Pizza, which has a great outdoor space where the kids can run around while we relax with dinner and drinks.
Day 4 – Exploring South Main
For a couples’ night out, South Main is always our go-to. There’s such an awesome collection of places to eat and hang out, but our absolute favorite is Tarantula Tiki Lounge. All the bartenders and patrons there are so friendly, and the vibe is just cool and laid-back—perfect for reconnecting with old friends.
Day 5 – Museums & Local Shops
We’d spend the day exploring the museums and local shops—maybe the Modern Art Museum or the Science and History Museum for the kids—and then wander Magnolia Avenue to check out the little boutiques and coffee spots.
Day 6 – Park Day
A relaxed day at one of the big parks—Trinity Park or Dream Park—so the kids can burn off some energy and we can just enjoy being outside together.
Day 7 – Wrap-Up Feast
On our last night, we’d pick somewhere special to wrap things up, maybe go back to South Main or try something new, but always ending with good food and a great atmosphere.
I think some of the most exciting and interesting things about this area are how welcoming and down-to-earth people are, and how there’s truly something for everyone—whether you’re into food, art, music, or just exploring new places together.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We absolutely want to recognize Braver Together. They’re a local nonprofit dedicated to uplifting small businesses in the Black and Brown community. Braver Together played a huge role in helping us get started, from guiding us through the process of establishing our LLC to connecting us with valuable resources like the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce.
Their support and encouragement in those early days made all the difference. Having people believe in us and cheer us on as we were finding our footing meant a lot. We’re grateful to them for being such a steady and positive force in our business journey.
