We had the good fortune of connecting with Quionna Brooks – Evans and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Quionna, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to leave a legacy for my daughter..

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I spent 13 years in the mortgage industry starting out in customer service. I eventually worked my way up to leadership ladder and became an AVP in the foreclosure department. Once that chapter closed I transitioned to auto finance where I am currently employed. What sets me apart from others is my desire to leave a legacy for my daughter. I’m excited to watch my business grow. It’s not easy, but I’m willing to work out. The way I got to where I’m at today involved a lot of hard work, tears and determination. It wouldn’t say that it was hard, at all. However; it required a lot of discipline and determination from me. I’ve learned many lessons a long the way. I had to learn how to balance life in general. How to stay focus on my goals. Also, to surround myself with like minded people. I want people to know that, you can be successful in any endeavor. All it takes is determination and hard work. My brand, Ionna’s Touch, is hand crafted in love. All my products are made from natural ingredients. Our goal at Ionna’ s Touch is provide products that heals naturally.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to the Star in Frisco. We would go and have breakfast at a cafe in McKinney. Then take a ride to the Star in Frisco where the Dallas Cowboys head quarters are and where they practice. After walking around and walking our breakfast off we would visit a restaurant that is on campus for lunch. Then later on we would visit the city next door called The Colony and we would walk around Grandscape to have a few drinks.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank my husband Frank for encouraging me to start. He has been my cheerleader since before I took the leap of faith.
