We had the good fortune of connecting with Queenie Clem and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Queenie, what matters most to you?
I am a person with integrity who values being honest and authentic with my clients and family. Integrity, to me, is striving to be the best I can be at all times. I would describe my authenticity as my being who and what I am and paralleling that with my business. Speaking honestly with my clients and family helps me to stay true to who I am.

What should our readers know about your business?
Queenie’s BookTalk and Reviews is a platform that incorporates seasoned and new author interviews, book reviews, read-a-thons, reading challenges, book/author spotlights, and beta reading. I work to bridge a relationship between readers and authors.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting my city, we would have a Girl’s Weekend. We both like seafood so we would have to go to Red Lobster and be sure to eat those especially tasty, tasty cheddar biscuits. We also have some new seafood spots like Seafood Spot where you can get a number of seafood combos seasoned however you like. We also love to laugh so we would be sure to enjoy the local comedians at the Comedy Club while we are downtown. Then we would go downtown to Tavern 21 to get a variety of delicious margaritas. A pamper day at the Hand and Stone Spa where we could get a massage, pedicure, and manicure would have to be included in the weekend. Lastly, we would have “Netflix and chill time” at either the Embassy Suites or Drury Inn where we could have some drinks, watch movies, and catch up on old times.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout is dedicated to my mother. She died in June of 2008. She instilled in me to be the best that I can be with the help of the Lord. Michelle Lindo Rice, my favorite author, also deserves some recognition. She is a great storyteller. Her stories instill the four F’s – family, faith, friendship, and forgiveness. Her books resonate with the four F’s.
