We had the good fortune of connecting with Princess Boade and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Princess, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
my thought process was wanting to be my own boss and have my own company not having to work for someone else have the freedom to make my own schedule to also make ever client that I service feel beautiful. I love everything beauty being that I’m talented in different beauty art etc.( hair,makeup,lashes,,,,)

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Princess Boade is the CEO of GlambyPrincess and Blaqklabelhair a full-service beauty salon. we offer multiple beauty services like, makeup, hair, lash extensions, plus more. all of our clients love that they can get several services done all at the same place it’s the convenience that they love

. We are proud to say we have been in business for the last 5 years we have grown in such a marvelous way, from selling lash products to offer lash course, adding custom wigs unit to our business very soon and much more.

Princess got to where she is today in her business by not giving up, working hard, and putting God first in everything that she does. it hasn’t been the easiest, but she had a dream and decided to follow it.

the lessons that I’ve learned along the way is. In having your own business challenges will come but the way you overcome them and let it mold you will determine your overall success, and to never give up. when I set a goal and I feel like I’m not reaching it, or things aren’t going as planned I replan take my time and start from there. but NEVER QUIT

Princess is a mother, entrepreneur, salon owner, and a woman of God. I started my career in the beauty industry back in 2015 I was working at MAC cosmetic doing makeup and freelance Bridal party makeup at the time but i knew I wanted more, I decided to enter the lash extension business after starting lash extensions I would take clients at home in my living room. I knew I still wanted more for myself, in August of 2015 I started cosmetology school at Paul Mitchell just 1 month after having my son he was my biggest motivation, a little over a year later I graduated and received my cosmetologist license. I then started to booth rent and offer all different services to my clients. at first it was overwhelming feeling like “how will I be able to jump from one client to another offering different service throughout the day, but i did it and my clients loved my work so it kept me motivated. I then launched my lash extension products. started teaching classes on lash extensions and certifying new lash artist which is something i truly enjoy. over the years if accomplished so much but I know i still have much more to accomplish the best is yet to come.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Dallas is a beautiful city with lots of wonderful things to do. a weeklong itinerary that i would have is to check out different restaurants a few of my favorites are, Monarch for a nice dinner, kessaku very beautiful view, town heart, and many more I’m a foody I try different restaurants all the time, i love to shop so we would defiantly head over to highland park village. wine is a big deal to me so i would go to a wine bar like burgundy swine wine bar. after we can go have some fun at Topgolf, or Andretti, check out some museum. and try something new I’ve never done before like horse back riding.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to God first and foremost because he has been with me from day 1 when i decided to enter this career and have opened so many doors of blessings. second i would like to dedicate this to my Son and family for supporting me through it all and motivating me. lastly all of my loyal clients thats has been supporting my business for many years
